Ecstasy – A Poem by Kristen Sykes

ECSTASY

O God Most High,
forever I
shall be in love with Thee;

Thy priceless kiss
of forgiveness
redeems my stained and sterile soul,

That I may spend eternity
Among the wildly happy free
who worship Thee with harp and bowl.

I am Thine and Thou art mine
My branch unto Thy vine entwined,
Sipping vintage new, we wine
Supping at Thy board, we dine;

The waltzing music fills the air
We dance in bliss beyond compare;

Like fire the rapture flames and falls
Love’s laughter echoes through the halls
The voice of joy unending calls
O Bridegroom King! Thy love enthralls!
